TOURS

Your visit to Mount Clare begins with an introductory video, and is followed by a guided tour of the entire house. Allow 45 to 60 minutes.

Tours are scheduled on the hour. The last tour begins at 3:00.

The first floor of Mount Clare is accessible, however the second floor can only be reached via our main staircase. We do not have an elevator in the historic house.
There are no public restrooms in the historic house. Restrooms are available in Carroll Park, and at the Mount Clare Stable for group tours.

Group tours are available, and make ideal outings for bus tours, retirement communities, community and religious organizations, etc. If you are interested in spending a whole day in Baltimore, ask us about arranging tours with other historic homes in Baltimore such as Homewood, Evergreen, The Flag House, The Carroll Mansion, & Hampton Mansion. Visit our links page for a list of local historic sites.

Another option is to purchase the Go West! Pass to visit four great West Baltimore museums for one low price. See the Admissions/Hours page for more information. The Go West! Pass may be purchased directly from Mount Clare Museum House.

Student and scout tours are offered throughout the year. Please visit our Education page for more information about our student programming including tours, traveling trunk show, day camps, and scholarships.
